We at Azaan International School – Best International School in Hyderabad believe in “Learning By Doing” so that each and every student actively participate in learning process. The students take up many Subject Enrichment Activities which not only enlighten them with the concepts but also help them gain practical knowledge.
One such Collage Making activity was conducted by Ms.Farhath in Grade VI.
Collage making was a Subject Enrichment Activity in which students have to cut the newspaper clippings from any newspaper based on the theme – “The Voices of People”.
The main objective for conducting this activity was to enable the students to see the perspective of the present world and to inculcate the zeal and interest of reading newspaper.
It was group activity, which was conducted in the class where in each student brought a few newspaper clippings related to the theme and made a collage. The collage was made very artistic using small pieces of colour paper and glue to create a design. The collage was very informative and creative.
Students developed interest and they engrossed themselves in reading newspaper with this activity. They searched for an interesting image to paste in their collage and make it creative. They were updated with the latest news, politics, city crime, current affairs, sports and many more. The students selected, combined and manipulated different shapes, forms, structures and images using a range of skills, techniques and process in college work.
